ITEXPO-BOS-2016-FL_sm.jpgLast week, we were delighted to exhibit at ITEXPO East 2016, where Fiber Mountain was honored with a “Best Service Provider Solution” award for our CrossCage Plus automated cross connect solution for multi-tenant colocation data centers!

ZDNet | In one of our most popular tweets this week, Ken Hess of ZDNet reports on the new hyper-converged, all-flash solution for remote office or branch office (ROBO) data center needs. Whether you skim the written article or listen to the full 17-minute podcast interview, it’s an interesting piece.

While their results are striking – estimating the average cost of a minute of downtime at $8,851 – he argues that the per-minute cost is less relevant than the full cycle cost of an outage, since even a few seconds of downtime can be disastrous depending on the industry and which systems are effected.
